During my role as a Data Science Product Manager, I was participating in bi-weekly "Data Guild" meetings led by the two lead Data Scientists (on the product and patient side) — with the purpose of having open theoretical discussions about data science-related topics. Each session began with a participant giving a presentation on the topic of their choice with the intention to educate the rest of the group.
This was also around the time I was researching Markovian Chains and Decision Theory trying to decipher patterns in healthcare claims data – where I stumbled upon Bayes Decision Theory.
Instantaneously I was fascinated.
There it was.
An entrance to the rabbit hole I never knew existed.
